The 9 best Dylan McGrath faces from last night's MasterChef Ireland
MASTERCHEF IRELAND RETURNED to our TV screens last night, bringing famously moody chef Dylan McGrath and Nick Munier with it.
The new series sees the show’s initial heats being split across two episodes per week: The first aired on RTÉ last night and the second will go out on air this evening.
McGrath was in top notch form from the off during the first episode, putting contestants through their paces and bringing back all of those fabulous faces we’ve grown to love:
He kicked things off with “welcome to MasterChef, we’re SO happy to see you” Dylan.
“Steak and chips? Are you having a laugh?” Dylan wasn’t far behind.
Next up, “and are you SURE you think that’s good enough now?” Dylan.
Followed by “I can’t believe you’re going to do that and I can’t say anything about it” Dylan.
And, of course, “it’s good but that doesn’t mean I’m going to smile at you” Dylan made an appearance during the taste test.
However, McGrath did manage to crack a smile or two along the way.
And someone even managed to make MasterChef’s bad cop laugh. He’s LAUGHING. Look at it. It’s a rare but beautiful sight.
What on earth is going on here?
Meanwhile, back in the kitchen, the first two contestants were eliminated. Emma Clarke and Claudio Moscati just couldn’t do enough to impress the lads.
You can see the remaining four work a busy lunch service at Dublin’s Dylan (no relation) and Shelbourne Hotels tonight from 8.30pm.
